June's reading will feature visiting poets Nick Courtright and Kyle McCord and local poet Lauren Schimming. The featured readers will follow an open mic session, so bring your best work to share. As always, there will be a merch table, so please save up to support our readers by buying their books.


Nick Courtright is the author of Punchline, a National Poetry Series finalist published in 2012 by Gold Wake Press, and Let There Be Light, which is forthcoming in early 2014. His work has appeared in The Southern Review, Boston Review, and Kenyon Review Online, among numerous others, and a chapbook, Elegy for the Builder’s Wife, is available from Blue Hour Press.  He’s Interviews Editor of the Austinist, an arts and culture website based in Austin, Texas, where he teaches English, Humanities, and Philosophy, and lives with his wife, Michelle, and son, William.  Feel free to find him at nickcourtright.com.





Kyle McCord is the author of three books of poetry, including Sympathy from the Devil (Gold Wake Press 2013).  He has work featured in Boston ReviewDenver QuarterlyGulf Coast, Ploughshares, TriQuarterly and elsewhere.  He’s received grants or awards from the Academy of American Poets, the Vermont Studio Center, and the Baltic Writing Residency.  He co-edits iO: A Journal of New American Poetry, and he is lead content editor and co-founder of LitBridge.  He teaches at the University of North Texas in Denton, TX.







Lauren Schimming is a poet and fiction writer. Her work has appeared in Everyday Genius. She is the Managing Editor for Coconut Books and works as a graphic designer for Hallmark Cards in Kansas City.
