Join us in the basement of the Taproom for our March reading. This reading features visiting writers Min K. Kang (Houston, TX) and Jordan Stempleman (Kansas City, MO). Rounding out the lineup is local writer and KU grad student Robert Knapp.


Min K. Kang is the author of The Diary of a K-Drama Villain (2015). Her work is forthcoming or has been published in Eleven Eleven Journal, Bone Bouquet, As/Us, and tender: a quarterly journal made by women. She is a Kundiman fellow.



Jordan Stempleman is a poet living in Kansas City, Missouri. His most recent collection Wallop was released by Magic Helicopter Press in 2015. He co-edits The Continental Review, teaches writing and literature at the Kansas City Art Institute, and curates A Common Sense Reading Series.



Rob Knapp has been writing, reading, and promoting poetry in Lawrence, KS for over a decade. His work has been featured in audio form on KJHK’s Sunflower Reading Series, KansasBlotter, crackercracker, and distributed by 808 NewYorkTapes. His most recent chapbook, Screed, is available in limited editions from [these signals press]. Excerpts from his current project, [oil baby], are forthcoming in Earth First Journal. Knapp is the assistant poetry editor of Beecher’s & teaches composition at ol’ KU.
