Amy Ash has an MFA from New Mexico State University and a PhD from the University of Kansas. A Pushcart nominee and the recipient of an Academy of American Poets prize, her work has been published in various journals and anthologies, including Mid-American Review, Harpur Palate, Salamander, Prick of the Spindle, and The Best of Kore Press 2012. Her fist full-length collection, The Open Mouth of the Vase, was selected by Charles Harper Webb for the 2013 Cider Press Review Book Award.

Following retirement from Kansas University’s English Department, where she was known as a Melville scholar, Elizabeth Schultz became a dedicated advocate for the arts and the environment. She continues to write about the people and places she loves and has published two scholarly books, five books of poetry (three in 2014: The Sauntering Eye, Mrs. Noah Takes the Helm, The Quickening), a memoir, a collection of short stories, and a collection of essays.
